IFWA Announces First 2 stops on the

2020 IFWA Freeride World Championship Tour.

The IFWA, International Freeride Watercraft Association, is proud to announce the first (2) stops on 2020 IFWA Freeride World Championship Tour. The IFWA World Tour features the world’s best Freeride Jet Ski athletes battling it out head to head in beautiful surf locations and sharing the freeride spirit around the world.

Freeride Portugal will again host the first stop on the 2020 IFWA World Tour at Praia da Areia Branca Portugal May 8-10. Pilots will be competing in the stunning Atlantic surf for points on the IFWA World Tour and the European Championship. Last year’s Freeride Portugal event did not disappoint with pumping surf conditions and the amazing Portuguese hospitality. We are excited for the first stop on this year’s tour.

A new location, Seabrook Washington, will host the 2nd stop on the 2020 IFWA Freeride World Championship Tour as the USA stop. The Seabrook Surf and Send, September 11-13, will bring a festival type atmosphere to this charming beach community and offer an ideal surf location to showcase these athletes skills. Seabrook is a planned seaside resort community located on Washington State’s stunning coast. The IFWA will be working with long time event promoter and creator of the Grayland Open, Dan Lindgen, to bring this world-class event to fruition. The Seabrook Surf and Send will also serve as second stop on US Freeride Tour along with this year’s Grayland Open. Competitors will be vying for not only the IFWA US Title but also points and title for the US Freeride Championship.

The IFWA is working with partners to organize a 3rd stop for the 2020 IFWA Freeride World Tour. More details to be announced soon.
